You’re probably hearing that song playing in your head right now just by reading the title of this post. Such is the popularity of Sinach’s hit song I know who I am. It’s a song of power, confidence and affirmation of who the believer is in God. I fell in love with it for one reason- it represented the real truth as stated in the bible. We are not called to live a beggarly, barely-manage-to-get-by kinda life. We were called into excellence. Sinach knows that and so do I. Hope you do too.
But beyond the energetic rhythm and soul-stirring lyrics, something caught my attention. It’s that line you just read above. For months, I sang those words semi-mindlessly, never really paying attention to the words escaping from my lips. Until one day, I had this aha! moment. I literally had to shut up as I pondered on those words.
“All I require for life…”
Hmmm….the next logical question I asked me was “Ikhide, what do you REALLY require for life sef?”
