Expressing Love, Affection & Intimacy In Sex-Free Relationships

Wow. That’s one serious topic,  I said to myself when the idea for today’s blog came to me. It’s a pretty sensitive region for some of us and I don’t think I’d be entirely wrong to say that for many of you reading this,  at one time or another,  you’ve had to deal with the emotional (yeah,  and physical!) tension in romantic relationships where sex has been placed (by mutual consent, I hope) off-limits.

You’re deeply in love with this special person, s/he loves you too, and you want to show it. But how?

We’re NOT getting into the “thou shalt nots” today. I think we all know the lines by now. It’s not just enough to know what should not be done, we’re flipping it today as we seek YOUR answer(s) to the question:

what CAN young, warm-blooded Christians in romantic relationships do that’s both sweet and sinless? What gorgeous gestures can they pull together without guilt or guile?

Got any ideas, thoughts or perspectives to share? We’d so love to hear from you. Kick this around with a few friends and see what pops up. Oya, tell us what you think!

  1. “Wen dat is understood and accepted by both parties, little but important gestures goes a long way.”
    Great point.

As for your closing question, how about we toss that right back at you, share with your circle of friends and get back to us on what fell out? Sounds good, right?
    Thanks for sharing!

  2. Ha, this is indeed one serious topic.
When the hearts involved are true, it is do-able? I think the grand question is “what do i want in dis relationship?” Wen dat is understood and accepted by both parties, little but important gestures goes a long way. Come to think of it, “does Sex has anything to do wit caring, affection and mutual love and respect for each other?”
